Official Mecklenburg County records must be requested from the office that keeps them. Court papers, sheriff reports, regional booking files, and statewide criminal histories follow separate routes. The contacts below identify the correct Boydton court or sheriff counter and the state or regional channel for other records. This private reference cannot receive a public-record request or issue a record.

This Is Not a Government Office. We operate a private reference site. We cannot retrieve or correct criminal records, perform an official background check, or accept a Virginia expungement filing.

  • Town police reports: contact South Hill, Chase City, or Clarksville Police when that department responded

The Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office page does not publish a separately named Records Division, a local clearance product, or a records-counter fee sheet. Call the main office before travel. Court records go to the clerk, while a booking file belongs to the regional jail rather than the sheriff.
